Thread: what does this mean...?

Well first off, grammar helps. I don't know if you're foreign, so it's okay and I got the most of your story.

Second, you mentioned that you 'made some mistakes in your life recently.' If it's something real bad, this might just be your subconcious' way of pressuring you. It's entirely normal under times of guilt / stress to fear the worst and have nightmares (such as this one). The nightmares won't always be directly related to the regretted incident, so don't worry about murderous babies in real life.

In my opinion, there is something trying to urge you to make a change. The baby could be a manifestation of the guilt, seeing as when left alone away from the family, it attacks. You're the only one feeling any remorse or guilt, so it makes sense that the baby only targets you. When you confront the family, you said that you wanted to hide the scar which had stopped bleeding. The scar could just symbolize something that you did in the past that you can't show to anyone, even though its immediate effects (The bleeding) have disappeared. The baby is still there to remind you of it and haunt you, but the family still accepts the baby. This might mean that the family will understand the guilt you've been feeling and accept it, but the scar and memory will still be there.

Granted, everything I am saying is from a novice interpreter's point of view, however if these nightmares keep recurring, you might want to think about correcting whatever 'mistakes' you made (if possible). It was a peek into the future, it means you should keep the silverware away from the baby if one ever shows up in your home. Like Sigmund said, he's only a novice interpreter - although he meant well, his interpretation is far from feasible. Trust me, my interpretation is much more likely.

hey sigmund...your interpretation makes perfect sense,i do feel the same way about the "mistake" and my family did react the way u said...i have been having bad dreams for quite some time now...even took therapy and medication to help me sleep and for my depression but now i hav stopped the meds...and the dreams have returned...but earlier it was just people dying...loved ones,strangers,other unpleasant stuff...this one was so scary i havent slept since...thanks a lot for your reply...
