I think it has to do with the Arizona shooting and the media focusing on the shooters obsession with lucid dreaming. We might see a few more segments in the future. I heard CNN did or is going to do one too but I'm not quite sure. |

I was walking through the living room where my grandma was watching the news and I hear them say something about writing down your dreams as soon as you wake up. I stopped to listen and see what they were talking about thinking that the new might be spreading LDing a bit. They said that as you right your dreams every morning you will be able to remember them easier. Then it went on to talk about dream interpretation. I was a little disappointed that it wasnt about lucidity but I am glad that the news touched on a topic that isnt spoken about much. If that segment gets people dream journaling it may even get them lucid dreaming. Most people dont talk about dreams but here it was on the news!! |

I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

No it was about dream interpretation and it was encouraging people to keep a dream journal. I havent heard about that shooter being a LDer except for on here. I think its awesome that dreams are being given recognition over the news. |

He may have meant...that it has presently made the subject of dreaming more popular in the media as a result of that crazy guy that was a lucid dreamer. So the media might start picking up real stories about lucid dreaming, which would be awesome. |

If the media, and by extension society, starts paying more attention to dreaming, I doubt it will last long. Writing down your dreams every morning takes effort, and lucid dreaming on top of that takes more. Mainstream society isn't going to develop a fad that involves doing something so internal and subjective, especially if it doesn't cost money. |

Facebook will create Dreambook...and it will all be history after that. You just have to make writing in dream journals a "social" event, where your shallow friends can tag themselves in your dreams, and write pseudosubtle entries that hint about who they want to be dating and what they would do with that person. Oh and don't forget about cyber dream bullying. |

Well I doubt it would be totally mainstream but seeing news stories about it could get more people in who are genuinely interested in their own dreams. I would love for more people who really would work at it to come into our amazing hobby |
