      Re-occuring dream - Please Help!

I have had the same dream for several nights. It is not particulary scary but it is very strange and realistic. I am having a lot of trouble working out what it could mean, and it is actually starting to really concern me because it is playing on my mind a lot.

I dreamt I was in a dance hall in a hotel with my best friend. It was a formal occasion (I've never been to such an event) and I had lost £40. I was ridiculously panicked over losing my money and my friend and I were searching the hall high and low. I remember feeling anxious about losing my money, theres always reference to the number 40.
Amongst the crowd my attention is always pulled to a stocky guy with a stupid smile showing his teeth. There is nothing to smile about, yet he is looking directly at me smiling ALL throughout the dream. He is wearing an orange/green jersey (strange because they are irish colours... relevant later...) This is a formal event so he clearly stands out because of his clothing.

Later my friend keeps saying "you've had 6 drinks. 6 DRINKS!" over again, I was still terrified that I had no money so I started running out of the hall and onto corridors looking for my £40 (weird, why would it be on a corridor?) when the smiling guy approaches me, I then notice he is in fact irish and actually my ex lover. He grabs ahold of my arms and as im walking, im kind of guiding him to walk backwards. He isn't hurting me, he is restraining me yet allowing me to walk where I want to go. Its as if he is clinging on to me. Im clinging on back.

Whilst we are walking we are talking, I can't remember what exactly was said but I do remember it being something obsurd in a sexual manner, because I was mortified of what he was saying. I then edge him into a corner - and I keep saying "come on, help me find my money, come on, come on" but he remains smiling and giggling as if something is funny. Which annoys me.

.......... Yes I know it is a pretty ridiculous dream, but its been the EXACT same for several nights and even if I fall back asleep after waking, i somehow fall back into that same dream. I've woken up many times and thought it was actually happening. Its playing on my mind and winding me up.

I have searched for the meaning of: - The colours orange and green (of his jersey) The constant stupid/pointless smile (That is weid because my ex wouldnt smile like that, not with teeth - and not those teeth at that) I looked up the number 40, and the number 6. I also looked up being restrained and dreaming of an ex lover.

I can not come to any conclusion about what it means, what is worrying me is that it is happening frequently and I may sound crazy but what if it is some kind of warning?

      Help would be very appreciated

Hi melaniegallacia! If you don't mind me asking, are you currently seeing anyone? If not, how long has it been since your last relationship?

In dreams if you are searching for something it signifies the need to find something that is missing or needed in your life. You may be searching for love, spiritual enlightenment, peace or even a solution to a problem.

Money in a dream represents confidence, success, values or self-worth. Alternatively it can refer to your attitudes about love and matters of the heart as it is frequently a symbol for power and sexuality. Dreaming that you lose money signifies temporary unhappiness in the home and a few setbacks in your affairs. You may be feeling weak, vulnerable or out of control in your waking life and/or lacking ambition, power or self-esteem.

Along with interpretations, you need to consider events that have taken place in your life when you are having these dreams, they could be a sign of things you may need to act on or change.
There's always new love in wait. Good luck!
