Intense dream in need of interpretation!!!!

Last night I had a dream that I was hiking through the woods in an area somewhat familiar to me. The leaves were colorful as in Autumn. I came upon this huge industrial looking draw bridge that I could not see around. The bridge began to lower and ended up being a ramp into the ocean. The ocean was dark and extremely choppy, and the sky was dark grey. The bridge had a huge concrete frame around it from where it lowered and on each side i could still see pretty leaves but within the confines of the frame, only the gloomy oceanic scene. Then 4-5 black horses were standing on the bridge all tot he right of the frame. I wasn't scared however, only in awe of the scene. I felt intimidated but invited at the same time. For some reason my roommate wandered in to the dream as I looked back he was walking up to the same place and I tried to take him to see the bridge/ramp but he kept getting diverted and never actually saw the scene I saw. Then trucks towing things were coming from multiple ramps in different directions but never from my ramp.

      Please help!

Im no expert rofl. seriously, i never much tried interpretating dreams before.

If dreams have anything to do with future events this is what i would think of it :

The sky is gray so that might be a sign ur gonna move trough a not so nice period.
The bridge might be a bridge in the non literal sense, lets say like a path to follow to get to the other side.
Maybe u will stumble upon something that closely resembles an ocean. Like how the buddhists always refer to as the ocean of time.
4-5 black horses? I don't know.. maybe u know better.

The fact that ur roommate is in it maybe it resembles that in ur real life u want to show him what you stumbled upon only he will not see it because he will get distracted by other information that gets thrown at him from different directions that he simply can't see what ur trying to tell him.

Well, the only thing I can mention is that water is a metaphor used in Scripture for "many nations, languages, tongues" something like that.

the distruction of beauty by the ocean (mankind) seems to be implied. I would think your roomie does not share your fear and dread of "civilization".

The 4 horses, (not 5) may indicate something of what you would call a religious nature. They stand between you and the ocean. One may actually be you.

At any rate, if you believe that dreams contain valid information, then you believe it is a form of communication, which means you have to ask who or what it is trying to communicate with you and for what reason. Answering that may lead you to places you would not want to go--especially if you take it far enough that you become quite unique yourself---and alone.

I am not the most "religious" person in the world. I am, however, a very introspective and philosophical person. I like to learn about as many religious views as I can so to not be ignorant t them but at the same time I don't adhere to just one of them. I like your way of viewing my dream but I not being a very religious person don't understand why the "four horsemen" theme may come into my dream state. It's something I will have to investigate further. Thank you both for the insight. I dream a lot and remember many dreams but for some reason this one in particular has shook me. I need to find out why.

Maybe because a religious source (or two) is really not about religion. Maybe there is one (or more) sources that hits the nail on the head, the function of the human mind as it evolves into being functional--and uses those same functions to test the reader.
