Thread: dream about cheating...

Most likely - in my opinion - it's simply telling you that you have a bit of anxiety about your new guy cheating on you, which is completely normal. Try not to let it bother you (and trust in your guy, most importantly), and that type of dream shouldn't plague you too much, in the future.

How did you feel about it during the dream? Hurt? Angry? Indifferent?

The mind just likes to throw out possibilities for us to consider - it makes up stories and just plays around with ideas.

Good advice guys thanks! I'll try not to. Liek I said we are not together yet, just "dating." But I won't assume he will.

& I felt hurt in the dream, I didnt want anything to do with him. but I think thats normal as far as that dream goes.

By any chance have you been cheated on before? Possibly you're worried it will happen again?

In dreams the mind creates what are called Dream Schema - basically just stories concocted out of day residue (stuff that's on your mind before you fall asleep) and partially just from random stuff. If you're afraid of something happening, you might have a dream that it happens.

No I have never bee cheated on. I have cheated tho :/ but it was only once, and the relationship was fizzing out. Could I be afraid because I have cheated in the past, that maybe I'll be cheated on next??

I'm sure that's not only possible, but likely. If you're feeling guilty about something you've done in the past, the thought that someone else might do it to you is always going to be in the back of your mind. The more prevalent it is, the more likely you will dream about that outcome.

My ex did knoow i cheated on him though. So its not a secret I have kept inside. But yes, I am afraid that it will happen. Its amazing what dreams can tell us. I don't dream often, but when I do, theyre either odd, or scary. The last dream I had, I was on a train with a coworker of mine. Well, the end of the dream I walked into a room looked at my phone, and then a skunk said "oh shit" and ran out. Well, when I woke up, it was time to get up for work. Find sound like a confusing dream, but thats the jist of it LOL & most of the time I dont know how to word what I want to say. So im sorry in advance if I confuse you. lol

O is right. Don't worry though, just because you dream about it doesn't mean anything other than you feel guilt inside. Your mind is just examining the possibility that it might happen.
