      There isn't an appropriate option for me - I rarely have non-vivid dreams, so vivid is normal

      I like having normal dreams because then I don't have to spend two hours typing up a dream journal entry.

      Most of the dreams I have are vivid dreams. I do prefer them most of the time, because when I'm lucid in a vivid dream, it's more fun. Sometimes I have what I call "thought-dreams," where it's kind of just an inner dialogue, maybe with some fleeting sounds and visuals. It's not that fun to be aware that I'm sleeping during these dreams. Other times I have 3rd person dreams, so it's like I'm watching a dream-movie. I don't like being lucid in those because then I'm not really actively involved in what's going on and it's just not realistic. Sometimes it's really hard to switch from 3rd person to 1st person in a dream, and the 3rd person ones seem to be more unstable, so if I force things too much I'll wake up.
