      Brain Playing Tricks!

In my dream I found myself thinking 'It's hard to tell Lucid dreaming from reality' and in another one of my dream I woke up in my bedroom and was convinced I had actually woken up, in reality a lot of the time when I wake up I can't see my clock because somethings in the way and I am too lazy to move it to see the time and I often think to myself 'I wonder how long it is until I have to get up' this is exactly how it happened in my dream. Would this be a false awakening?

You can read the whole diary in my dj, it is called 'Brain Playing Tricks'

oh and my latest dj is really weird too, I was having a dream, I then think I wake up, when really I am still dreaming. and I think to myself 'I must of been dreaming' when really I was still in the dream, if that makes sense, it's hard to explain.

The first dream you described happens to me every once in a while. It's one of those "d'oh!" moments that we all experience and then kick ourselves for when we wake up. The second two dreams are definitely false awakenings. It's when you wake up from a dream but are actually in another dream. It can be hard to explain but they're not uncommon. You can combat these by preforming reality checks whenever you wake up. This way you can catch any FAs you may have

Been lazy recently, especially while DV has been down, and haven't been doing any rc's, maybe if I had that would of been my first lucid dream. Oh well, I'll keep trying!

Yeah you definitely had some false awakenings. Those can be some of the trickiest for your brain, simply because you are usually still in your room, in your bed, and not much of anything is out of place. So like Burke said, that's the perfect time to perform some reality checks. I will sometimes have several FA's in a row before I finally get it. I'm fortunate enough though that my bathroom is 2 feet away from my side of the bed, so my most common RC is to get up, and go look in the bathroom mirror. I know then immediately if I'm lucid dreaming.
