So I've wanted to post about this for quite some time, and luckily I ended up here tonight to post about this. Anyway...
Crap, I think I should start by saying that this idea came about by watching either How the Universe Works or The Universe, but they were talking about how absolutely nothing is "solid." Like, if you take a billiard ball and zoom in on it all the way, you'll see tiny ridges and cracks in it and stuff. They also said the same is true for space-time. Basically, there are holes that are extremely tiny, ALL around us. Meaning, just in front of your eye could possibly be another universe.
Now, I like to believe that the conscious is this thing that is EXTREMELY tiny. It is so tiny, in fact, that we cannot perceive it as anything. So, when you sleep, your consciousness disconnects from your body and travels into these holes, where another you exists and all that happens is you enact everything that is going on with your body in that particular universe.
This tool will help: The Scale of the Universe 2 you visualize what I mean by extremely tiny.
