      Lightbulb Fall to sleep with music?

      Every night for a long time I have fallen asleep with my iPod in one ear on the lowest volume setting and it's produced some very strange, but fun dreams and I feel I can't get to sleep properly without it (I've listened to it while falling asleep for years).

      So my question is: does anyone else listen to music as they're falling asleep?

      I can't fall to deep sleep with music apparently. I'll wake up in the middle of the night to off it.

      I put on my ambient/minimal playlist for about half an hour when going to sleep. Not only do I love all the tracks on it, but it drowns out any noise that my flatmates make. Haven't noticed any effect on dreams, but I listen on my nice speakers rather than my iPod, which I find is just uncomfortable.

      I did, however, listen to binaural beats while falling asleep the other night, and had the weirdest trippiest dreams even after the 'dose' had finished.
