Am I remembering many dreams or one really long one?

I commonly remember one bunch of dream scenes which I am sure are linked together but then others that feel like they happened beforehand and that they are not connected to the first ones.

Is it likely that I am remembering more than one dream or just one really long one but Im forgetting the gap between the two?

Theres is no way of telling.
      1) you had multiple separate dreams and filled in the gaps when you were awake.
      2) you had dreams throguh which you woke up near the end so it felt like it was one long dream.

Usually people try to make sense of their dreams by sticking it all the fragments together, so the dreams fragments were more than likely not related.
