The sudden sound of wind rushing by, was me moving this thread to General Dream discussion where it should get the proper responses this post requires, as opposed to posting it in the META forum.

And I call that the "dream hangover." Since you did actually have those emotions during the dream, whether it be a made up character or someone you know in real life, you experienced feelings that take a while to dissipate after you wake up. Mine have only ever lasted a day or two, so you'll be fine. And I agree it's a nice feeling.

Yep, it's a nice feeling when you wake up and feel any sort of good emotion or excitement, etc. I've had some dreams where I've lived a complete other life and then woken up to feel exhilarated. I just wish it wasn't immediately followed by regret that I woke up from it.
