Only so much you can say about dreaming

Idk. I find myself checking these forums less often, because I can only learn so much from answering the same questions over and over again, and reading the same discussions that are just rehashed every time.

I mean, I feel like I can answer most threads with:
      Keep Practicing,
      or
That phenomenon and dreaming are unrelated, it's just an illusion,
      or
      Congratulations!

Have any of you older members experienced this feeling before?

      PS
I'm not roasting on the forums, I love you guys, I just... am becoming slightly bored

Well of course - people go on experiencing the same kind of things, and because there are so many threads over the years, it takes forever to search and find if there is one that answers precisely your question, so it's a whole lot easier to ask - which produces the same sort of answers....having said that, it's very helpful to a newbie to get the personalised answers. Maybe there should be a sub-forum for 'advanced users and novel topics only'?

I guess I get you there on the personalized answers. Like when I'm working on computers and come across problems I can't solve, and I google my problem... I always find someone else's problem on a forum getting answered, but it's never EXACTLY what my problem is.

When answering questions, the answer is always similar, but the circumstances are never exactly the same... But I think of dream feedback as having more broadly defined elements than tech support

I do get bored from time to time, and I've gone on hiatus a time or two.

I've come back for longer than usual this time. I find the chat room really holds me onto DV sometimes-- its fun, and is instant feedback. The lounge and non-dream related things also help to take a break but still be connected to the forum.

But as Art. said, a lot of first timers go through the same things, so all we can do is guide them with personalized advice as best you can. For something fresh, try reading some peoples Dream Journals, and browse the sub-forums individually instead of the "Whats New" thing at the top (the newest posts tend to be those questions you refer to. Dig around for some of the more interesting ones!)

Well giving, or receiving, answers on dreams will tend to be the same since of course most people question the same similarities that we all share. But I still feel that DV has a lot to offer, for me I always enjoy reading what other people hope to or have accomplished in their dreams. Sometimes just reading about someone's dream is really enjoyable. ^.^
