      Very long dream/dreams

So while I was asleep last night, I had what felt like the longest dream I've ever had. It was quite real too, I remember at one point I had burnt my foot and I could feel the pain as normal as ever. But the reason I bring this up is because this dream session felt like it lasted at least 6 hours if not more. But this is weird because it felt as if it was all just one dream, or that each dream was a continuation of the last? It also bothers me that I met the perfect girl, I truly loved her and when I woke up I was so depressed because it wasn't real. My mind had given me exactly what I wanted and I usually take the much needed peace. But this time I could only wish it was real. :/

The way we perceive time in dreams isn't the same as we do in reality, that's why we can have dreams that feel like a lifetime, and others that don't seem to be more than a few minutes in a single scenario.

Just don't let yourself be tricked. The dream version of my boyfriend cheats on me a lot (probably because I'm insecure) and I always wake up like, "You son of a skanky whore. I'm gonna kill you," but then I realize that it was just an unfortunate dream and he wouldn't do that in reality.

I know the feeling of waking up disappointed, too, but you've gotta keep in mind that whatever happens in there, it's just in there. It's nothing more than something your own brain created.

True. It's just that usually my dreams so easily linked to real-time, and this one seemed to go on for ages. The depression didn't last long it was more of a temporary "wait that wasn't real..." Thank for the reply though. ^.^
