Hello all! I just registered here and this is my first time being on the site! Glad to be here...I am not sure what made me think about the subject of dreams this evening, but somehow the topic came up and I got to thinking...

Just to give a little background information with regards to my (note-worthy) dream experiences, as a young child (1st grade through maybe 4th grade) I would often have what I think were lucid dreams. In the dreams, I knew that I was dreaming, and I told various DC's (dream characters right?) that I knew I was dreaming. One dream that I had pretty often was one in which I was in an orphanage. The ladies working at the orphanage must have said something or perhaps done something to imply that I could never go back to my regular happy life with my family, and I would not see them again. Knowing that it was a dream, I joyfully would tell these ladies (nurses they seemed to be) that they were wrong, and that I knew this was a dream. It was a comforting realization and always gave me a big feeling of relief. That was one lucid dream that I had multiple times. The second (of three that I will mention) was one in which I was pretty much a power ranger, and I could fly. It was really fun to fly around, but as the dream went on, I began to lose my powers, if you will, and eventually would wake up. Lastly, I recall a lucid dream I had as a young child in which I walked about the streets knowing I was dreaming, and looked for women whose clothes I could take off (embarrassing I know haha)...When I removed one woman's shirt, I did not find boobs but instead two mounds of whipped cream with cherry's on them...haha so yeah take that as you will...

The dream that I am wondering if anyone else had is one in which I would see myself from a third person point of view, in a small wooden ship out in the middle of a deep blue ocean. I had this dream a lot. In it, I would end up out of the boat, swimming, and would look underwater and see a giant monster coming for me. I would try to swim away and would keep looking beneath me underwater to see where it was at...that is all I can remember, but it happened so often that I just wanted to see if any of you know what this could have meant or even had a similar one of your own.

Thanks for your time, and I will be posting more in the coming days (I am going to try to begin inducing lucid dreams, the idea really fascinates me and I would like to see what fun and interesting experiences I can have. Any advice with regards to this would be greatly appreciated as well!

Thanks
-Nick
