Here's one i'm not so sure about...

Hey guys, first post on the forum (other than my intro), so I figured I'd bounce last night's dream off of ya. (Note: sorry for crazy typos and random punctuation- my phone has a hard time with forums usually)

My background: 19 year old male college student, don't drink or do drugs of any kind (never did either), and I'm studying Automotive engineering. If you need any other background info that may help or you see signs in the dream, post and we can all talk about it!

I'm not quite sure if it was Lucid, so I'm safely assuming it wasn't for the most part. I still haven't quite mastered lucid dreaming yet

I don't remember how I got there, but I was on a sinking cruise ship With a bunch of friends and families, and a bunch of people I didn't know. There were sounds of rushing water and creeking metal, but nobody yelling.

I had a sudden feeling that this guy i used to know, Tyler, was still stuck on board. I haven't seen him since he was 13 or so, and that's how I saw him here, despite me being 19. The ship was mostly under water except for the deck where everyone was sitting, waiting for instruction. Remembering Tyler, I jumped up and climbed into a ventilation shaft.

I was surrounded by steam pipes and red flashing lights (maybe an alarm of.some sort) and suddenly it looked kind of.like one of those McDonald's "playgrounds" for the kids that they usually have with the netting and the tubes they climb through. I hear tyler yelling to.me saying "Hurry.up! There's gas in here!" I reacted as if I could smell it, and looked for a way to get him out from behind this playground netting. I took out my knife and cut a hole in it, and pulled him through, with the fear of explosion or fire in my mind as an actual threat. We climbed out with him on my back. After dropping him off, I Ran to go back in and save more people, but as I returned, I saw the shaft filled with water. I heard people yelling for me to punch a hole and drain.the water, but I had no idea how. Then It got quiet...

Tyler and the others had jumped a few feet from the deck and into the water, and were now playfully swimming around and floating on inner-tubes like from a water park. The water was completely clear and clean. People were trying to radio For help, but it was broken... then two.men parachuted down from out of.nowhere and THEIR radios were broken too.

Then, in kind of a random ending which has never happened to me before, everyone started floating around in the water like it was a water park's "lazy river", and started singing the New Orlean's Jazz music I had.been listening to all day... it was like a musical... weird but pretty damn cool! Hahaha

As far as Tyler goes, i haven't seen him in almost 6 years. We were never really "friends", he just sat with me on the school bus a lot because he was younger and I was older, and the other kids wouldn't make fun of him when I was around. Being the oldest of 3 boys in my house, I was ok with it... but that kid was kinda weird... but anyway, haven't seen him.since then and don't really plan on looking for him or anything.

So, have at it... any interesting signs you guys can think of, or just a cool story? At this point, I have no idea...

Well while it seemed like just an intresting dream there are a two things you could potentially make dream signs out of here.
      1) The music - The fact that an actual song occured in the dream means that you could listen to it in real life and associate it with questioning reality.

      2) Death - I believe death is a reoccuring theme in nearly everyones dreams and it actually is an extremely reliable dreamsign. How about everytime you see an aspect of death or terror you question reality, it makes sense too because in all fairness we are more used to death and violence than in any age and therefore we rarely question it. Another handy aspect of it is that it's easy to associate an action with an object that evokesd an emotion in you.
