      a dream.. or a thought?

      Hey everyone!

So tonight i had my second attempt for a Lucid dream.

11.00: Went to bed, in a comfortable position.
Started to recall the 2 (non lucid) dreams i had the other night, thought about the objects that moved without a reason.. about the feeling i had in those dreams.. etc.

11.15: Got my mindset to: 'What i want to do in a lucid dream?' , 'I will have a lucid dream tonight!' and 'I will know that i am dreaming'
So i kept making a picture in my head of myself actually doing that, and telling myself i will have a lucid dream, and knowing i am dreaming.

      11.30: Fell asleep.

      05.00: Brrrrr...Brrrr... Alarm.
05.01: I asked myself: About what i was dreaming?
05.10: Kept digging and digging, nothing... Recalling the 2 dreams i had the other night again.
05.15: I was making a picture of me doing stuff what i want in a lucid.. and some examples of movies i have watched.. getting motivated about what i wanted to do.

05.30: I thought about the girlfriend of my girlfriend and wanted to do things with her.
      05.32: Fell asleep

      07.00: Alarm clock.
07.01: Okay... i dreamed about giving the girlfriend of my girlfriend XTC in a club so she would go insanely loose with me.. and then i told her u wanted to try '69' right? Lets go upstairs to my bedroom!

Now, this 'dream' is really NOT vivid/clear in my head.
Was it just a 'thought' before i went to sleep? Or was it really a dream?

The past 2 nights i had 3 really clear dreams that are still in my memory.. this night was not like those, not clear or vivid at all, and also it was hard for me to to actually recall/remember what i was dreaming about.

Is this a fail in my method? Did i do something wrong?

People who have lucids A LOT.. do they still have nights like this one that are not clear and vivid at all?

Throw all your comments at me!

The best way to get started on Lucid dreaming is by practicing ADA (All Day Awareness). Since I have 10x Dilds than Wilds, I have no other choice.

I had 6 very long dreams which I don't recall properly and 1 short lucid dream yesterday. So yeah, by the time I finished brushing my teeth I remember 2, and now I can only remember my short lucid dream and the ending of the other NLD.
If you set a timer that would ring right after your rem periods. You could remember the dream like it just happened.
So my advice, find your rem periods and try to wake up right after them and see how many dreams you can remember.

Yeah, I think that was a dream that you couldn't remember clearly. When you think about something right before going to sleep, the subconscious mind takes up the thought creating a dream.
If you keep a dream journal, your dream recalling skills would get a kick start.

      Thank you YourDreamingNow !

Yea well i don't want to bind myself to a specific method yet, for a fact i know:

      - When i am going to sleep at around 11 and wake up at around 5 for a few minutes and going back to sleep again i remember my dreams clearly at 7. This should tell something about my REM period.
      - Today i woke up at 5 again for a some minutes but slept till 8. Maybe that's the reason i don't remember my dream clearly.. because it's 1 hour MORE...

I am practicing ADA.. also i keep a Dream journal and do Reality Checks. I am practicing
