Have you ever been high in a dream ?

I don't know why but I had a dream that I was high , and I had very little balance and the room was spinning . Has anyone else had some type of experience like this?

Yes. In my dream I took shrooms, and it turned into a nightmare.

I used to do opiates, and I had a transcendentally nightmarish dream while doing them in my dream, where I fly through levels of my psyche and become more and more disturbed and uncomfortable as I go deeper. I've only had one, though.

i smoke/drink almost in every one of my dreams. although i have never felt effects from doing so, my dream just resumes as a normal.

i had one dream where after smoking my eyelids felt very heavy... i didnot feel high tho.
The first step to making a dream come true is to wake up!

I've never been high in real life, so I don't have a point of reference.

Yeah I haven't been either. I did, however, have a dream that I was drunk. It wasn't very pleasant.

Every drug I've ever taken in real life, I've been able to "take" in my dreams with similar if not identical effects.

One dream in particular sort of unnerved me. I was going to coach swim practice (I was a swim coach at the time), and I reached into my pocket and found a joint. Now, normally, I would light up without having any second thoughts. However, I smoked once before in real life before coaching, and my kids, damn their childish perception, knew that something was wrong with me, even though the rest of the staff had no clue. One little girl, her name is Maya, came up to me and asked me if I was feeling ok, because I was saying things in a slightly different way than I normally did. Anyway, back to the dream, I took the hit, despite my nervousness, and went on the pool deck. Suddenly, I got a wave of paranoia, and every swimmer was giving me this funny look, until I woke myself up out of sheer panic.

Now, here's the kicker. I woke up, and I was high.

I did a little bit of research, and the article I found said that the body retains trace LSD chemicals after the initial intake stored in the spine, and that if you ever break your back just right you'll experience a relapse. It also went on to say that there are unfounded reports of individuals having relapses in their sleep. I wonder if the same science could be applied to other chemicals. I also wonder how much of it is psychosomatic.

Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone ever dreamed of taking a drug and woke up with similar effects in the real world?

its happened to me a few times, but i think it's a placebo thing. the lsd stored in your spine thing is just a myth. there's no evidence to support that myth, and i have absolutely no idea how it became so widespread.

Its an easy thing to believe, LSD over a long time can cause some interesting psychosomatic effects- like those LSD flashbacks.

Yeah...that's complete bullshit being spread by anti-drug activists. No traces of LSD or any other drug get "left behind" after a trip. What you experienced is known as a flashback, and it can result usually from PTSD from a bad trip or HPPD (hallucination persisting perception disorder), which is when you can see visuals from the trip days, weeks, or even years afterwards. HPPD is caused by the massive rewiring that can occur in the visual cortex after a series of powerful trips. HPPD is harmless, albeit annoying for some people.

Personally, I've done weed and alcohol in dreams. They both just make the dream more vivid.
