      Need interpreter: Snake wraps Bear

My dream interpretation skills are not what they should be... I need help if anyone can.

      IMPORTANT PART OF DREAM:

Riding as passenger with best friend in his car. It is night and there is a light fog. Woods on left of road, plains or farmland of some sort on right side.

In the field on the right side of the road are many animals gathered. As our car approaches, the animals disperse and run across the road to the left and into the woods. All the animals were small woodland creatures of some sort except two. The only two I truly saw and could make out were a large snake (almost like a Boa Constrictor) and a large brown bear.

As the large brown bear hurried across the road and into the woods, I noticed that there was a large snake wrapped around it. I could not tell if it was wrapped around the bear because they had been fighting or if it was just hitching a ride. Either way, the snake seemed content to rest with it's coils wrapped around the bear's body as if the brown bear were wearing the snake.

Does anyone have any dream interpretation for this?

It may or may not be important, but also in the dream after seeing the snake-wrapped bear, I thought to myself that it must be an omen. I did not know if it was a good or a bad one, though. Suddenly, there was a sharp turn to the right and my best friend did not follow the road. Instead, we crashed into the woods and came to rest completely unharmed beneath an old abandoned tree house. We climbed into it to inspect it, but it was empty and had been unused long enough for the buildup of dust and cobwebs. Further exploration of the forest showed a small house or trailer. I knocked on the door. A woman answered and behind her was an agitated-looking man. She seemed to just want me to leave at first but then I noticed a large cut on the right side of her head, and it was bleeding. I offered to help in exchange for using their phone and told them I was First Aid Certified (which I am). The woman seemed excited and let me in but the man was still grumpy. I was under the impression that the man and woman had been arguing and the man had struck the woman to cause the wound, however no further issue arose between them. I awoke as they let me into the house. For some reason, I experienced Nocturnal Emissions from this dream and had to shower upon waking.

Sorry, but dream interpretation is a pseudoscience. Freudian theories are more of an anecdote than real theories anymore. It is because, while many dreams do possess a trancendential/philosophical/subtextual meaning, there are so many other factors to consider like day residue and just pure randomness. The brain is a complex organ. I'm not saying that your dream doesn't mean anything, I'm saying that if it does only you can discover it. Hope this helped

I can't think of anything, srry
      Is the dream reocurring?
If so, was it wet all of the times?

Nope, this was the only time I had the dream. The following day, I did have chance encounters with the images of both snakes and brown bears. That's the only reoccurrence I can think of.

I don't hold much faith in Freudian dream interpretation. Was hoping for something more esoteric. I know, I know... I can almost feel someone's eyes rolling right now. However, I have my reasons. =)

The woods on one side and the field on the other - the woods represent where we hide what we don't want to see, the field is open and shows us what the truth is - even things we don't want to see. You being a passenger - thats putting yourself aside, away from the closeness of the situation so you can see the truth.

The bear and the snake are symbols of something very important in your life right now. That's why you only were able to remember those two specifically. The very first thing I think of when I see the snake wrapped around - is something medical, but that's my point of context (because I have family with medical background, and a snake wrapped around a staff, or pole, is the sign of a physician). That's not necessarily yours. So lets just look at them separately.

A brown bear is something strong, powerful. They are known for hibernation. They fish. They live independently, only coming together to mate. They can symbolize independence. I have to ask, do you know someone in your life who makes you think of the physical qualities of a bear? It could even represent you. Your strengths and desire for independence. This "bear wearing the snake" wanted you to see a truth that is being hidden (it went into the woods).

A snake can symbolize a slithery "behavior". It prefers to live unseen. It squeezes to paralyze its prey. It bites you from behind, takes life when you can't even see it coming. A boa, since you mentioned that by name, means all those qualities but SUPER SIZED. This huge snake is suffocating the strong bear, but the bear is so used to "wearing it" (whatever it is that suffocates you or stops this person from being strong and independent) that it doesn't even seem bothered enough to shake it off any more.

Sounds to me like an unhealthy relationship where one partner is controlling the other. Or a child who wants to be free of their parents influence. Hope its neither
