Waking up in middle of night, without trying.

I've been wondering the past days, why I recently for maybe 2-3 weeks ago, started suddenly wake up in middle of night without me trying to do it or using alarm. Not that I think it's bad.. because, it gives me opportunities to practise WBTB without waking up the family (in case they would hear alarm).
I just wonder, how can this sudden happend? It have happend EVERY night the past 2 or 3 weeks. It's usually around 4-5 hours after I gone sleep. But sometimes it's after 2-3 hours (but not very often).
There is no noise that wakes me up what I know of. I use to sleep on 2 places, at my dads home where I actually live, and at my gf's home. If that matters.
I've never before done the CAT technique or any other where I set my sleep pattern to wake up in middle of night.

So, how have it happened? :S just random?
I do hope that I not lose this, that I always wake up in the night, because usually the previous time I woke up in middle of night, I remember dream, or woke right before REM and might possible instead WBTB to LD.

after you become more adept at lucid dreaming. it happens on its own. i wake up after every single sleep cycle. it gives you a lot more chances for DEILD and other ways to induce lucid dreams.

      Ooohh okey didn't know that.
DEILD.. I remember I read it sometime long time ago, now I read it again, I may try that one, if I can learn me to be still when waking up.

This morning was so weird for me. I usually wake up at 6:45 am for school. This morning I woke up at 3:45; I was going to WBTB but I kept tossing and turning. Thirty minutes later--. Thirty more minutes-- Then I gave up... I went downstairs and called it quits. It was a real shame too; I could feel a lucid dream coming if I could fall back to sleep. I was in the perfect mindset.

      oh ok
Myself, tried DEILD.. I accidently moved but I had it in mind to not move right after, I had closed eyes too. Maybe a minute later if even that.. I was back in sleep. Woke up at alarm later, and no recall at all ><

keep trying! if you move a little bit or open your eyes for a second don't worry about it. what you should remember is that you need to stay "aware" or awake in your mind a little bit. perhaps you just let yourself totally fall back asleep without thinking about it, without the thought that you are about to enter a lucid dream? don't get upset, just keep trying. you are very close!
