This relates to dreaming alone, not lucidity.
The first questions I have are about REM. Is it possible to enter REM sleep with any kind of music, depending on the volume?
For example, more intense music at lower volumes, or more calming music at clear volumes. In either case, does it even matter?
Or does listening to any kind of music more often have the effect of stopping you from entering REM, altogether?
I prefer sound scape music mostly. For example, Celtic Dreams. Music that almost mimics the wind and other sounds of the earth. Having a mix of violin, piano, and beautiful female chorus. I find personally relaxing music is the way to go, but i sometimes wonder if the intricate details of notes in piano or violin are conflicting with how well I am sleeping? Although, I do think there are times in my sleep, that I for some reason can't hear the music at all. As if my brain temporarily is shutting down the ability to hear. Has anyone else noticed this? I can also say I have heard music and sound in dreams even with earplugs at night.
