      Problem with WILD/FILD

      Hello,

I've been trying to enter a LD with WILD or FILD a few times each nights the past 3 days.
I set my alarm at 5am, after I wake up I turn off the alarm wait a minute untill I feel reeaaally tired and then start the FILD technique. However whenever I'm trying FILD or WILD my body just doesn't fall asleep.. I'm just laying there in my bed expecting something to happen but nothing happens. After like 15minutes I'm like I'll try again in an hour and fall asleep.
The same goes for when I'm trying WILD. I set my alarm get out of bed 30minutes later I go back to bed and start doing the WILD technique. But nothing happens I'm just laying there ignoring annoying body signals, waiting for something to happen. The last time I tried WILD (this morning) I waited about an hour and a half. However the last time I did experience what I think is REM, because my eyes were rapidly going all over the place and my legs started feeling like they were waving. But because of my eyes moving so fast my eyelids starting opening and the light from my window started getting in my eyes so I focussed on closing my eyelids and I really had to put quite some pressure to keep them closed. So while this happened I was trying to imagine some kind of dream world but nothing happened and then the feelings started to fade away.

So does anyone know what I do wrong with FILD and if I was close to a LD with WILD?

Do not wait for anything to happen. You should be aiming to fall asleep while using the anchor to keep your mind aware, and that's all you should be doing.

Last night I tried FILD again but this time while aiming to fall asleep. But I fell asleep all 3 times..
When I focus on staying awake, I indeed stay awake but when I dont I just fall asleep >.>

I have the some problem with WILD - I just can't fall asleep...Even when i wake up after 4 hours and I feel really tired and sleepy. I'm using an anchor, like focusing on breathing or something like that to stay awake and... indeed i'm staying awake up to the morning....
