      Dream buddy challenges

      Me and my dream buddy Emnition have been competing with each other to push ourselves to get better at lucid dreaming and have decided to make a thread where we can keep track of our progress. Anyone can feel free to post here and start up their own challenges with their dream buddy if they're interested .

      For these challenges we usually have a time limit and/or point system. We update our scores each day via PM and at the end of the time limit or goal we declare the winner. We'll then post our results here and also state what the next challenge(s) we're doing will be.

      An example:
      Whoever has the most lucid dreams in a week wins
      Rules
      1 lucid = 1 point

      Day 3
      Emnition: 2 points
      werty: 1 point
      We can also have different goals like our current challenge:
      Emnition is using ADA to increase his awareness during the day, based on how aware he is he can earn 1-3 points.
      I'm improving my dream recall, 1-2 dreams = 1 point, 3-4 dreams = 2 points, >5 dreams = 3 points.

      This way we can improve on things we're interested in and help each other keep focused. We'll be keeping score of who has won the most challenges as a kind of competitive incentive to motivate us to win .

      There's no real limit on what kind of goal can be set, maybe it will be to remember to meditate, or to go to bed at a certain time. Other examples can be more related to dreaming such as teleporting in a lucid dream or seeing who can finish all the TOtM first. The idea is to make small goals and challenges that are somewhat progressive and achievable.

      What a great idea! I've been scratching my head when it comes to ways to inspire each other. We're not lucid pros and going lucid consistently so challenges about doing specific things in a dream are still out. All I've been able to come up with now is to just reassure my dream buddy that I'm doing my lucid techniques and that's it. A point system seems to be that little bit more intensity that might work.

      Thanks for the idea!

      Glad you liked the idea!

      I can't get lucid consistently either yet but these small challenges have helped me progress much faster already.
      Good luck with your future challenges

      Me and Emnition finished our first challenge and just decided on the goals for this next one.

      I'll be focusing on meditating for 1 hour each day (not in one sitting), by doing that I'll get 1 point
      We'll be finishing 1 week from now (21st Dec I think).

      I'm down for this too. I'm averaging roughly 3 lucids a month since I started November 2014... So maybe someone with a similar lucid count over that time would make sense. I took about 4 months off though this summer... in actuality when I'm practicing and doing WBTB I have about 2 a week. I want to have one every night though especially if I take the time to do a WBTB.

      I feel like 1 point for a dream, 3 for a Lucid. I'm fine with your scoring system though werty if you would like a new challenge partner for a week ha. But yea anyone who is interested let me know.

      Sorry robertcox but I won't be able to partner up with anyone else atm, I'm still ongoing with my challenges with Emnition.
      Check here ---> http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...on-thread.html <--- if you can't find someone to start a challenge with then try applying for a dream buddy it's a really good program to help yourself see consistent progress with lucid dreaming and has been the most valuable asset for me personally

      2 lucids a week is pretty good if you're just using WBTB :O

      Thanks yea I went ahead and applied (hopefully they find me qualified!)

      Yea and honestly my last 3 or 4 WBTB haven't given me Lucids... My last 2 have just been normal uninterrupted sleep (well aside from bathroom breaks) which is exciting, but a little frustrating that the WBTB's have gone on such a dry spell. Usually success rate is about 50%.

      3rd Challenge

      Me and Emnition just finished another 1 week dream challenge ending in a draw, 2-2. I think that makes our current score 1-0 to Em, and 1 tie
      My goal was to recall 3 dreams a night and meditate for 30 minutes a day, and Em's goal was to focus on ADA during the day.

      We're starting up a new challenge today where I'll be focusing on a routine involving working out, meditating, DY, ADA and 2 dreams recalled per night:
      7 days working out = 7 points
      2 dreams recalled = 0.5 points
      Meditation (30 minutes), DY (20 minutes) and ADA = 0.5 points

      Em will be focusing on DJ and DY:
      0 = nothing
      1 = DJ or DY
      2 = DJ and DY
