Can you dream about sleep paralysis?

      Hi all!

This morning I woke at about 8am and fell back asleep. When I woke, i couldn't open my eyes, I could actively control my breathing and i could barely move my arms. After a few minutes of struggling, I was able to freely move my arms but my legs were still numb. After a while i could then lift my legs, where I could then sit up on the side of my bed. I then woke up, laying down.

My question is; can you dream of sleep paralysis? I have experienced sleep paralysis in its entirety a few years back, but i remember being able to open my eyes. I was just wondering whether this latest episode is real or just a dream.

      Thanks!

Yes, this is completely possible. I've had this experience happen to me countless times. Often including less than welcoming hallucinations (Well would you call it a hallucination in a dream?)

When I am in paralysis I can't move like my shoulder, but if I wiggle the tips of my fingers and such I instantly break free, but the whole body is unparalyzed at once for me. (but that is for real Paralysis)

As for dreaming of it, sometimes I go blind in a lucid dream and am in the void, I immediately begin to rub my hands together, but then sometimes in this dream state my dream hands become paralyzed, I have struggled and broken free, I have continued to rub even if I got down to only one unparalyzed finger rubbing against itself, and I have in one case weirdly warped about and then lurched awake in bed
(It really sucks, not surviving the void is lame, but instead I should have just thought the dream will return the dream will return, instead of thinking oh crap I'm paralyzing)
Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

I have had several dreams in which I am paralyzed while laying in my bed. EVERY one of my paralysis dreams were associated with perceived dark entities that were in my presence in the dreams. I have had dark figures sit on top of me while this happened as well. It sucks, but luckily I have not had that kind of experience in a long time.

I've had both the full sleep paralysis episodes and others that I would consider dreams of paralysis, but the more I consider it, the harder it is to draw a line between them. When you are having sleep paralysis episodes, you are dreaming about the experience with the dark entities or whatnot. If you are fully awake and paralysed, then it's no longer 'sleep' paralysis, right?

Anyway, I do get the less hostile sleep paralysis dreams from time to time. Sometimes in those I can move slightly, or I'll have partial paralysis like a stroke-victim and can only move one half of my body. But they resolve themselves in a much more organic way than the intense sleep paralysis episodes.
