Thread: Blood and Gore Reocuring Nightmare

For the past 6 years, I have had a 2 similar reoccurring nightmares. Firstly, a man (usually white, thin,mid thirties) is standing next to me while he murders people. He never attempt to hurt or communicate with me, he is calmly killing hundred of people at a time usually. Sometimes this is by slow torture (tying them down in a bath tub and filling it with water slowly to drown) sometimes it is an automatic weapon killing random people walking by. There is nothing significant about the people, they are just the general population.
The second reoccurring nightmare I've been having a 1-2 times a week the past few months. I am in a room of people gathered at a table, usually about 30-50 people. They are sitting and waiting, chatting and smiling. The door to the room closes, and someone pulls out a weapon. The goal is to slowly torture everyone in the room - slowly. The last time this happened a few nights ago, someone at the table stood up, and said 'lets begin!' and went across the room to disembowel someone who did not fight back. Everyone else is the room was excited and looking forward to stabbing, slitting someones throat, or slowly cutting off body parts while the person screams in joyful agony.

I am going insane with this second reoccurring dream. I can not figure out why I would dream about this. I never watch horror/gore/blood movies, I am not a violent person, I am overall pretty happy with myself. Any help is appreciated.

Also, I have suffered from sleep paralysis and nightmares all my life. I had chronic (every other day) sleep paralysis for 3 years.
