I've never considered doing dream mapping, but if I did, I would look for maps of my dream world inside the dream and try to find a map that seems accurate. I would then consider how the most recurring locations in my dreams fit into the map. I would then fly from those recurring locations to check if a given dream map is accurate. If the map wasn't accurate, I would find another map in the dream, or modify an existing one in the dream to make it more accurate.

If I drew the map on a computer, I would use gimp. However, another option is to draw the map on paper and take a picture of it to post it on here.

I learned of dream mapping in a lucid dreaming book - paper is out -- as I may have to walk away with as little baggage as possible - so all books are on mp3 - or pdf --- no more filling notebooks with dream journals -- I just can't maintain a library - so I'll try to keep it to a small laptop --- I'll check out the gimp thing -- but it will probably be far too complicated for me -- I tried to look at sketchup one time for something else & realized you would have to make it your entire lifes work to even be able to use it & I just don't have the time & am obviously just not smart enough

Right now I am just dropping pins on google earth to get by

the gimp thing is pretty cool - I saw a video on youtube where they made a map with it -that's pretty much what I had in mind - I am having trouble figuring out how to use it though ---

My dreams mostly happen in the same places over and over again with some variation to the scenery. Not much to map, but I like to draw sketches of the places to my dream journal.

I've noticed that a lot of my Dreams take place in the Elementary school I used to be in, even if my dreams aren't related to school stuff.
