I had this happen once and also had to wake myself up. however I had a FA before I full awoke and the person in the dream was able to follow me into the FA dream and continued to chase me and try to kill me. Really creepy! |

Scary lucid drea,
Someone was trying to kill me in my dream...
I was very lucid. I got really happy to know I was Lucid dreaming, but the character trying to kill me was still terrorizing me. I said stop, this is a dream, but he didn't stop. It was crazy, so scary that I had to wake myself up!

hate to double post, but i had a regular dream, and one of my really good friends was drowning me...i guess we really arnt good friends......

As funny as it sounds in my dream I tried to fly away as a way to wake up, but the person chasing me some how kept pulling my from the air.

It seems like you can't always fly away, I was running away and stuff... I tried to man up and fight it, thinking I was more powerful but I wasn't !

I've never experience something like that, but that seems like sub-conscious type of thing. Maybe your brains telling you to face fear head on.
If you face him and are losing...just gauge one of his eyes out.

The only thing that gives the DCs power in these kinds of dreams is your fear. You shouldn't be trying to fight back or fly away, since both these responses are triggered by fear (fight or flight). The first step is to stop running.
Once you stop being afraid of the DC, then you can punish him for his defiance.

I wouldn't recommend trying to kill it, unless if you want to because it would be fun. If you hate the thing that's chasing you, will it out of existance, or ignore it and walk away from it.

Often if something or some DC is bothering me in a LD I just ignore them. Works like magic. You have to put them out of your mind for it to work, though.
Other times I float up crosslegged, like I'm meditating and just sit there while whatever happens. It is really empowering to do nothing and watch your fears become ineffectual and whimpy! After a while they either dissapear or they become so pathetic that it is easy to just walk away.
So far I have one major fear that I haven't been able to "beat" by doing nothing. I've let wolves eat me, fire char me, etc. But this one fear just scares me sooo much! I think I'm phobic. Bees and wasps.
Yeah, lame I know. Heh.
