      "Rapid fire" Dreams?

I'm sure this was asked about some where, but figured I'd create a new topic.

Is there a certain term for having dreams one after another, in a short period of time? Happens to me periodically, I'll fall asleep and within minutes I'll be dreaming. Wake up, immediately go back to sleep and dream again. Rinse and repeat.

This happened to me about 4-5 times last night, until I had a longer lasting, 'final' dream. Unfortunately, they were all nightmares. Another thing is, these dreams feel a lot more vivid and real then regular ones. Just thought I'd ask to see if there was something to it or not.

I get dreams like this when I'm in a state of exhaustion. 4-5 in the span of even as little as twenty minutes, hyper-detail, longer than seems natural, etc.

I get dreams like this all the time because I toss and turn most of the night. So when I do get to sleep I almost always start dreaming again. One night I had about 10 dreams before. Sometimes they would pick up from the last dream and other times all the dreams will be different.

This is one of the reasons I find it easy to LD when I try and hard to keep a dream journal up to date, too much information to write down lol.

Anyways the closest thing I can find to defin this is Dreaming Chaining.

There are user created terms, but there is no "official" term that I know of.

A common term to use however is Chain Dreaming, or Dream Chaining.
