      Dream characters are nothing more than a thought. A thought has no emotions. No thoughts. No point of view. It's a little hard to imagine, but they think nothing more of us than a flick on the arm would think of us.

      We obviously have no way of telling for sure. This is only my opinion. If you view dream characters as anything more, I suppose your answer will be different than mine.

      I believe rocks have souls....

      But seriously, Casualtie summed it up pretty well with the arm thing.
      But of course there are millions of answers. Example straight off the top of my head, someone may believe DC's are other people in non-Lucid dreams, hence why they act so stupid.

      As you see there are only ideas, and you can make your idea into a theory by trying to find things which support it. (DC's acting stupid, just the same as we do in non-Lucid's).

      But <strike>maybe</strike> it would be possible to make your DC&#39;s have an oppinion of you. And you could read their thoughts to see what they think of you?

      DC&#39;s are created by oneself&#39;s thoughts, so they see one as one thinks they will see oneself obviously.
