Thread: Ever have a dream where you see a TV show that you watch in it?

Yes, I've done that. I've been in an episode of "Scrubs" and "The Simpsons" once and I also believe an episode of "Friends." It usually happens if you watch three or four episodes of the show before going to bed.

Yes, I once watched several episodes of Alias before I went to before I went to sleep. It was strange, but it hasn't happened since then.

Were the shows in your dreams new? Like a new plot made up by your mind?
And the show that I dreamed about I haven't seen since it went off the air in Jan '07.

Just last night I had a long awaited LOST dream. Very vivid and sweet.

I was once dreaming and my science teacher came up to me with a bloody ear and then House appeared and said that it was because he sat on a bag of sandwiches or something. Not quite the same, but yeah. Oh and this all took place on an old western train platform.

Yeah, it happened to me... Makes me ask myself if I watch too much telly (although in fact I don't dream of the shows I watch most).
I even had a dream with the characters of Stargate:Atlantis in the world of Runescape. In hindsight, it's pretty scary.

I recently dreamed I was with Nate from Six Feet Under. Somehow, in that limited sense of logic that the dream-self takes on, it was both considered a movie to me and at the same time I was acting in it. He actually got shot to death in my dream, at which point I ducked down, but then felt reassured because this was just a movie I thought to myself.(And BTW it's a TV show, not a movie)

I also had the Soprano characters pop up in my dreams when I was obsessed with that show.

Never had a dream though where I'm watching it, just dreams where characters appear in my dreams. Unfortunately their inclusion has not triggered a 'this must be a dream' realization moment.

I had a dream about the show Lost last night. It was weird because I was seeing things through first person view as if I were the camera. It was set at night and the only people there were Jack, Charlie, Claire and her baby. They were at a big house on some docks in front of a lake. The lake was like a foot deep. Then the Others started coming at them in a red semi splashing through the water. The camera switches to indoors and I see some stairs leading up and a TV screen with Donkey Kong on it. The screen starts to pixelate and it says "Charlie has been taken". I actually read that in the dream. Also Jack had the beard that he has in the season 3 finale.
