      First post, half-awake dreaming...

Where to start? I have very vivid dreams ranging from many types of...."genres"? I'm gonna go through a couple of these, some of them have been bothering me.

      Half Asleep/Half Awake

These dreams are deffinately the freakiest, as they alter my perception in real life. Almost as if I was on drugs or something. I'll be laying in my bed, then suddenly, I'll wake up to some out of the normal thing going on. And before you ask, I KNOW that I'm awake when this happens. Anyway, one dream I have alot, is me waking up, and a spider (huge) is slowly sliding down a web towards my face. Once I realize what's happening, I jump up and turn on my lights. I then realize I'm just "dreaming" while awake. Another one, me waking up once again in bed, my guitar will be floating above my head, just moving around. Then it returns to it's normal position. Before I name more, I'm just gonna say I'm always gonna start these dreams with "I'm waking up", just so I don't have to type it. Another one is me looking into my closet, and all of the clothes spread to one side of the closet, and a few of them float out. Another involves me well into sleep, and hearing the last TV show I was watching, and SEEING it on the TV, and I think that I forgot to turn it off or something, so I go to turn it off, and the TV just turns on instead, then I realize it was a dream. And the one I had most recently, I'm typing it down because this is fresh, was me locking my door in my dream, now note this is a real dream I'm locking my door in, not the half awake one. In real life, my friend yelled for me downstairs and everything was slow and blurred, and I couldn't get my door open. I kept trying to turn the lock so I could open the door, but it frequently get stuck, then when I would turn it, it would just keep turning and turning and it would not stop. I finally got the door open. I can't believe how dumb I must've looked.

I have a few other dreams I'll keep you posted about if you want, not these kinds of dreams however. I actually just woke up from accidentally falling asleep, and had a very weird dream in the process. Now, to get things straight, my whole family has encountered psychic-like dreams before, and it's nothing out of the ordinary to encounter deja-vu for us. Does my psychic experience have anything to do with these odd dreams? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE feel free to ask question and review what you think this is, I'd really like to know.

One that I have had recently for the past few nights has involved my PSP.
After I go to bed, I stay up on my PSP for a while before I go to sleep in a few hours. I sometimes go on DV, sometimes on other stuff. I also know that my parents would get real pissed if they found out.

Anyways, I have one of those laser clocks (that project onto your cieling) and after I put my PSP away and go to sleep, I will wake up at about 6:30 before I get up.
I always get this intense thought that I have to immediately put my PSP away, or my parents will find me on it, even though I put it away hours ago.

In other words, I still feel like I'm playing on my PSP when I wake up o.O

      Woh......

Sometimes, when I wake up in the middle of the night, I hear the noises from my computer monitor like it's loading and stuff. Pretty weird.

It's simply caused by confusion of your senses as you're transfering from a deep stage of sleep immediately into wakefulness. I think it's happened to most people at some point in their lives (myself included), though it sounds like it happens to you more often than most. It has nothing to do with "psychic experience", which is simply a manifestation of the human tendency to invent explanations for things they don't understand.

      do you...

often go into sleep paralysis when your in this light stage of sleep? because sleep paralysis is often accompanied by auditory hallucinations and even visual ones when you've just woken up. and yes its felt like i was on drugs or something too. the other night i was in this very light stage of sleep and went into sleep paralysis and started hearing this weird form of techno (extremely loud) and when i finally woke up i looked around my room at for like at least 30 seconds things were moving and the walls were breathing and i even saw a couple of things on the wall. it was straange
i have these light half awake dreams a lot tho, sometimes its the easiest way for me to have a lucid dream.

Genres, really? Please explain. Go more into detail.
I'm a scriptwriter, and I know all about genres-- from comedy-drama to gothic western.. Please go into more detail. Very interesting.

to the guy talking about psychic stuff, I dont think I meant that the dream had to do with my famiy's psychokenisis, I was wondering if stuf flike that increased the amount of time you can have this within a small period of time. Be a skeptic of pyschism if you want, I know what I have seen....

you pretty much nailed it Lucy. I can have dreams so serious, mainly about me and girlfriends that I have gone out with going places (Romance), good friends or girlfriends who moved away coming back (Drama), scary shit like Jason killing all my friends while I watched (Horror), seducing women making me cheat on girlfriends (Porno....lol), and a few action-y ones, althought I don't get them much. I tend to fight alot in my dreams too. Ask more questinos if that did not fufill what you were asking, I'll try to answer them the best I can.
