In many cultures, animals have deep spiritual meaning. Usually your animal finds you in dreams or when using drugs. I was wondering if some other people have had any kind of recurring animal in their dreams that they think is significant. |

And what if all of the world and the comforts that you knew disappeared? What if the idea of self, the idea of a thought, and all consciousness faded away while your ego died? Would you hold onto life or cease to exist, are you more than your mind and more than your feelings, can you exist without yourself? Do you know your cosmic niche and could you be content when you are gone?

The white horse was probably the strongest symbol of the three, though. |

Hey there, |

The animal I see most in my dreams are dragons. They actually (they being animals) don't show up too much. This is probably because I have no pets. People I know, however, appear frequently. |

The saying "in your dreams" has taken on a whole new meaning...

It's stuff like RedRivers was talking about. Whenever I see the blackbear it always has a deep impact on me. Like one time when I saw the bear sleeping beside my pool and I went and slept beside it and the whole week I was very relaxed and calm. And another where, when my life was getting stressed my bear appeared as something more agressive that was restlessly walking around campus. It's more than the animal just appearing, it always has some kind of impact. |

Hmm. Expanding upon 'fish,' usually... They make me sad. Looking back on my dream journal, they are usually ill, deformed, or dead. In one profound dream (from when I first started the hobby) I was in a hexagonal aquarium, with hundreds of orange fish looking at me from the outside. They'd die, and then more fish would suddenly burst from their stomachs. I felt so sorry for the dying fish as well as the newborns, which also died to give birth. In other dreams, my big ol' plecosotmus gets sick/dies. I've cried in my sleep during some of these dreams (even though I didn't breed him myself, I've had him ever since he was two months old...). |
