Thread: Why is it so hard to get a descent dream???

Basicly all of my dreams lucid or not are crap!Mostly its about me checking my E-mail or being in one of my video games!Sure it would be cool to be in a video game but its always The Sims2!!But the storys are kind of cool,but im usually just controlling the game or im making over there house!I want to have a nightmere really bad for some reason....I had this one where this old lady and this ugly deformed elf guy were trying to kill everyone and then she trapped me and my friend in my house that she later set on fire.....that was the best dream ever!!!Of course sence school is back I can't really devote my attention to my dreams like I used to over the summer......Anyway hopefully people arn't as awesome as they claim to be and have the same problem as I do......

Dreams reflect your daily activities and your current state of mind, maybe you should spice up your real life a bit then . Of course, willpower alone should do the trick... Just visualise what you want to dream ahead of time.

Sounds like you are on the computer too much and play too many video games. Get out and actually do stuff then maybe you will start having decent dreams.

Agree with what's said. Also I'll add that your unconscious will reveal things to you when it needs to. And dreams are not just about imagery. Sometimes we wake up with powerful emotions of love, hurt, fear, sadness, exhaustion, revulsion, loss, awe etc etc etc and I've found that it is these dreams where most of the learning is done.
