Why do you call it a lucid dream, yet admit its not really dreaming? I'm pretty sure I know what you are referring to, but its impossible to tell by the erratic and contradictory descriptions you've given. It sounds like you are talking about the average day dream(not technically a dream), which can happen upon waking and in between cycles, but also throughout the day of course. It happens when you are calm and there are enough endogenous hallucinogenic hormones floating around to trigger a vision, but not actually enter into rem sleep. Theres nothing new about this state and there is no reason to label it as anything other than what its been called for centuries, day dreaming.
