      New Lucid Dream Type?

i think I found a new type of LD. I call it ACLD. Awakening Controllable Lucid Dream. It is when u wake up and you are dillusional. U get to the DEL (dillusional) state when u wake up BEFORE your REM period Ends. These kinds of dreams are not as much dreams as they are hallucinations. I consider them as dreams because they are not entirelly controled. The plot, setting, and DC (Dream Characters for new members) or DG (Dream Guid) are not controlled by you. These are the work of the brain i suppose. This type of LD is induce when you wake up before your REM period is over. You may think normal things are different, EX. I woke up into ACLD and thopught my alarm clock was a phone. I was searching my bed for the "phone" and couldn't find it. i zoned out and couldn't hear the "phone", but i still pressed the snooze button out of reflex. Your math and normal logic are all screwed up. So, about the "dream":

      DREAM CHARACTERISTICS:
-Normal sounds, smells, tastes, or feelings can become morphed into something ENTIRELLY different, such as the "phone".
-They are controlled by YOU. It's like watching a movie, where you can think and everything, but its coming from you.
-The view is somewhat blackish from seeing your eyelids
-You can change everything if you have the MOTIVATION
      -You are awake
      -You are fully concious
      -You are DEL.
For INFO on lengthening the period of time on the DEL state, read next post.

      HOW TO TRIGGER THIS "EVENT"-

-Smelling, tasting, feelling (Not recommended, because it is one of the things that wake you up) or hearing

-NEVER OPEN YOUR EYES!!! THIS CAN RUIN THE "EVENT" ENTIRELLY!!!
-Don't count on it always happening.
-Be aware that this period can last for about an hour, so if you want to experience it, set ur alarm early.
-My REM cycle ends at 9:30, so i always wake up at that time on weekends. On weekdays, i have to get up earlier, so it's kind of bad for me because i can drift off very easilly.

      Making it last longer:
      - Don't move too much, perferable not at all.
      - DONT OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
-Go along with what your mind takes you to
      - Try to have no "disturbances", such as your wife, (mom), brother, or dog "wake" you from your DEL state.

      Perferred Entrance:

      Through an alarm clock.

Please leave any comments here about this supposed discovery. I would also greatly appreciate experiences from ACLD

      k thanx.

      Experience one:
I woke up to my alarm clock. I somehow drifted off into ACLD. I was in my room with two other friends, watching some TV show. I decided to call another friend untill someone came into my room and got me up. I said "After i call...oh wait...nvm." Thats all i remember.

I'm really sorry but I have to reschedule. Death in the family and I don't really have the time and mental strength right now to start attempting a new method.

      Sorry,

Wow, that sounds really cool! It's almost like WILD exept your awake. I think I've actually had this happen to me once! My mom woke me up for school (this was when I was in 3rd or 4th grade) and I sat up and said, "The crow calls!" She looked puzzled, so I repeated, "You know, the crow calls!" I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, but the whole time I was in a trance. Once I got to the bathroom, I suddenly snapped out of it and thought, "What in the world did I mean by that???" I asked my mom if I had really said it, and she said that I had.

I may have had something like this this morning. My dad woke me up to go to work, but I just closed my eyes again. I got out of bed, went downstairs, greeted my dad, sat down at the table for breakfast, then woke up in bed with my dad calling me again. I don't think there was anything unusual happening. It's almost like a false-awakening in reverse.

Im glad that you found something you enjoy. The only problem is that LD stands for Lucid dream, which you already know. But in order for the dream to be lucid you have to be aware you are dreaming and be able to control it. So this is not any type of lucid dream. Therefore cannot be any type of lucid dreaming method and im sorry to say i dont think you discovered anything except for sleep paralysis...

I could be wrong, no disrespect just stating my opinion good luck friend

well of corse, but you can control it, and you are aware u are dreaming, and I know for sure it is not SP because you can move easilly. U just have to want to move.

Regardless there is no such thing as another type of lucid dreaming. There is lucid dreaming, and then there is non-lucid dreaming. Maybe you meant another method of lucid dream induction? Sorry if i seemed rude, i apparantly have not understood your meaning very well.

This sounds like a false awakening where you wake up but still think you are dreaming.

Is it? If not, what is difference?

well, it might be, except you are not dreaming, and there is an interval of time between the waking point and the ACLD incuction poinnt, about 20 sec- 5 mins. You just have to be triggered into thinking something enough to get a small, non-vivid, awake "Dream", or Hallucination, much like the "Lucid Hallucination" that that other guy pointed out.

If it is not triggered in that time, or what ever amount of time (I havn't tested this out, just personal recolections) you wont be DEL anymore, and you will fully wake up.
