I never recall my dreams when waking up with a hangover. Shit, i'm having a hard time remembering what the hell I was up to in WAKING life last time I was out drinking (New years eve)

That makes sense, Liz - alcohol cuts down on your REM sleep, the part of your sleep cycle in which you primarily dream. So, you're really not missing anything, there's not much to remember.

While it's not good to do this too many nights in a row, it's not as bad as not being able to remember HOW you got home!

When I am drunk, i do remember my dreams, but not a lot

It just seems a lot harder to weave some sense in it, the dreams are usually foggy, and chaotic.

In my opinion alcohol in small doses, like two beers or so really helps my dream recall and experiences as a matter of fact. I haven't been drunk but I hear most people are just too wasted, I wouldn't count on that one.

I seem to dream more after a few drinks, but the dreams themselves are of lower quality.

For example, when I become lucid, nothing very interesting happens; I'm just in my room looking around at things and my vision is usually quite fuzzy.

I find it makes little difference. I mostly amazed that I can be drunk before and after a dream but during the dream everything seems clear and well.

I find that when I get in the habit of being heavily drunk, it carries over into my dreams. After a couple drunken days in a row, I get used to the drunken feeling, so I interpret my dreamy feeling as being drunk. I don't think its anything chemical for me, just the state of mind I get in.

But yeah, alcohol can screw with your recall and your sleep cycle. I hate when I wake up at 6 in the morning on a sunday with my heart racing from all the booz. Thats the worst.

Remember that alcohol acts as both a stimulant and a depressent based on the circumstances, so timing is everything.
