I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct forum to put this question in, but here goes. |

I've wondered this before as well. When i was younger i used to think that it was possible to change the way my surroundings look if I just concentrated or practiced long enough. I thought since people could have hallucinaitons on drugs and stuff, why can't people hone into thier brains and have hallucinations without drugs? But as i got older... |

Dreaming is forgetting the basis of reality, remembering it is to be lucid.
I've looked up on this and there isn't a right lot about it on the internets . |

Absolutely, say you've taken LSD in a room before. If you concentrate you can retrace your memory and remember what it feels like to trip enough to convince yourself you're currently in that state. If you haven't taken hallucinogens and you want to try this... you might need a very large imagination. |

The journey is usually more rewarding than reaching the destination.
-Keep it real
I think just a lot of focus and a strong imagination will do it. When i was younger, and I lay awake in the early mornings I would have just enough faint light to make out the toys on my dresser. |

This is something I've always been interested in. I find that if you keep your eyes closed (perhaps a little tighter than normal, but not necessarily), and concentrate on the little blobs of color you see appearing and disappearing, then try to picture something vividly, you'll start to see the shape of the thing you're imagining. Unfortunately, that's as far as I ever got. |

I'm thinking this is a potentially good research team thread. |
