Hold it closed and try to breathe; if you can, you're dreaming.

I often can breathe, but it's kind of like my nose is stuffed up, so it can be ambiguous to my dreaming-mind, therefore it is not my favorite reality check. Looking at my hands usually works fine, but I've had to resort to putting my finger thru my palm or the nose-RC occasionally.

I know what you mean. I can breathe every time (if I'm dreaming of course), but it does feel sort of constricted. I just have to remind myself every time that if I can breathe even a little bit then I must be dreaming. Usually I already have that "dreamy" feeling anyway so it's usually not too hard to accept.
