I've had quite a few LD before. Most of which aren't scary. He/she might have thought it was scary because it seems more weird than a regular dream. In one of my LD dreams my sister was calling for me. When I wasn't lucid it wasn't creepy, then when I was it got creepy. So, I decided to wake up and I did.

Sister thinks it's typically lame, brother is interested to some extent though not enough to currently pursue, mother is sceptical but doesn't want to show non-acceptance, father has no clue unless she told him.

Approach the SP topic slowly and explain what it is probably to your brother first, then move on your other family members. Having some scientific report or something to prove that its SP such as symptoms will help

While my parents don't think I'm crazy yet, they think I'll lose it eventually Anyways, my family discusses dreams openly. Everyone of my family even my little brother has had a dream and we all know each other's dreams. I personally feel that dreams must be important to some degree instead of some random stuff made up by your brain since I've seen some dreams when interpreted come true and I've had some of those experiences

all my friends are pretty open about it actually. it normally starts out with me saying "OMG i had the weirdest dream last night!" and everyone starts sharing lol sometimes we bet an compare to see who had the weirdest one. its fun! sometimes we even spend like 2 hours just talking about dreams....although i never told them about lucids till one day in gym one of my friends saw i wrote something on my smotach but didnt see what it said. it said "lucid dreams" >.< it was supposed to help you get a lucid but it didnt work an i didnt realize i had wrote it in sharpie so.... epic fail! so they didnt give up until i showed/told them what it said, that or they wouldve taken off my shirt for me lol my friends are pretty crazy. surprisinly they knew what lucids were but werent interested beyond whether it had worked for me.
