Rapidly recalling dreams. help me out

Over the last two months, I have randomly recalled dreams that I've had through out my life. They are dreams i had completely forgotten about. they randomly bleed into my thoughts and connect to other dreams I had at another point in time. Everytime this happens to me i feel something in my mind expanding, like euphoria, or the feel of sudden power. I sometimes even feel like im leaving my body. But its messing with me. I feel like i might be going crazy. Or maybe I've found a link to something else, like another reality. It has changed my entire outlook on everything. Has any one had anything similar happen to them? please give input cuz im honestly a bit freaked out.

not really, I've remember dreams from time to time but not sure about dreams from a year ago i would change the title though and remove the 3rd eye open part, because, it'll get moved to BD

I had something a little like that a few days ago when i doscovered... this, however it was on a very minor scale. I remember like four or so dreams, but none connected and it just made me happy... So all in all it was pretty different i guess

First of all you should probably take it slowly and do a little read up on dreams. One thing i find, is people just accept dreams. They don't think WTF hows my subconscience doing all this and question it. But when they do its like.... woah thats been there this whole time? So don't feel daunted or threatened by this, its a gem in life, and considering only a handful (of 6 billion people) know about it, treat it like a gift! And considering you seem to remember a few it looks as if you have a headstart on all of us! PS Avoid bringing it up with closed minded people, they just accuse you of witchcraft etc!

On the otherhand i probably misinterpreted what you said and im just rambling on so i'll stop now, hope i helped though, and welcome to the forums.

No you definitely helped. I've really had no one to talk to about this that would know anything and I don't have enough time to research what's going on. It’s very overwhelming at times. I'm not just talking about a few dreams; I'm recalling an exponential amount of them. Some are dreams that I believe I may have had when I was a little kid. They are starting to hit me a rapid fire as well. I'll be doing something at work and all of a sudden something takes over me and one dream pops into my head then internally connects to a completely different dream over and over again. I'm experiencing flashbacks of ten dreams at once at certain times. When I close my eyes, I feel as though I start to drift into a long tunnel full of illuminating patterns and strange objects. It does intrigue me, but at the same time, scares the living crap out of me. Would if this is only the beginning? Would if this gets me in trouble? Am I going crazy?

Just calm yourself down. I would love it if I could remember my dreams like that Anyways, I don't think it could get any worse, no you aren't in trouble and no, you aren't going crazy. Just relax and go with it. Write the dreams down even if in point form and then look at the dreams and see if there is some message hidden within

Yes, and have you encountered a big change in your life? Like moving out of a house or getting a new relationship or job? Or worse still, losing a relationship or job? If at a glance it seems nothings changed, look at simpelr stuff and how they orignally impacted your life. You might have valued something more than you think..... And a question, did you discover this site before or after these like flashbacks happened? And how do you know they were dreams? and possibly just bursts of daydreams if they're connecting so well? But i wouldn't panick, it sounds like a strange experience but we're all different

This sound great, to be honest. I can understand that you might be scared, or think you are going crazy, you are not.

Are any of the listed experiences negative? Hmm.. no they are positive.

I would love to see illuminating patterns and strange object before falling asleep, your own little show before your eyes

Do you have any particular reason to think that this is related to the third eye? Since you ask

You have "two" options as I see it:

      1. Embrace it, stay positive, appreciate that your horizon might have widened.

      2. Doubt, fear, paranioia, you think that something is wrong, that you are crazy, spiral down to uncertainty.

Of course it might not be as black and white as these to options, but I think you have nothing to fear.

      Lucid Fanatic-

I have not had any changes like ones you mentioned but I will say that my life has not been the same since February when I spent a week out in Ocala National Forest with the Rainbow Gathering. While I was there, I learned met many people and learned many great things. I had never been more overwhelmed with love in my life. The Generosity I was shown reshaped a lot of my thinking. I am 100% positive that these are dreams that I have previously had in my life and not just bursts of daydreams.

I had never done any previous research on dreams other than reading ex-girlfriends "dream dictionary". I found this site a few days ago hoping to get some feed back because I can't find anyone who is able to figure out what’s going on with me.

      Specialis-

I think I’m going to have to go with option # 1. I do enjoy it to an extent because I've always had a more than usual crazy life style but it's just a bit much to swallow and I still would like to see if I can find any one having similar experiences.

On to the Third eye. I first heard about the Pineal gland and dimethyltryptamine about a year ago watching a video seminar a friend had on DVD. I remained curious about it because I've always felt that I've had something extra going on in my brain. If you read my response above, I talked about my experience at the Rainbow Gathering. To fill you in on what that is if you are not aware; It is a society of people pretty much living in anarchy that travel around the world and anchor down in forests and pray for peace in love. Money has no value in Rainbow Land. Everything is traded, and everyone loves you. The third night I was there, I went on a mental journey at my campsite and came across some very mind-bending questions and internal conflicts. Then I started thinking about societies problem with addiction to so many things and it brought me to a new sensational state of thinking. Colors we're strobing in my mind and I was starting to leave my body in then my mind hit a barrier and it was all I could see. There was a circle, Inside of a square, and on each vertical side of the square, there we're these semetrical statues that looked like mannequins. Everything I was seeing at this moment had a holographic tint, almost like rainbow colors. I felt this insane sensation like I almost completely broke away from our reality and into somewhere else and then. I lost it. Completely. It felt like it was drained from me, along with all the energy in body. There was nothing I could do except cry. I had found greatness, and it disappeared in a second. Ever since then is really when I first started recalling my dreams. The rate at which I am recalling these dreams and increasing and intensifying every day.

I deeply appreciate all the feedback. I have felt so alone on this.

Sounds interesting and fun, have you tried asking one of your friends at the Rainbow gathering if they have had such experiences? If yes, then you aren't alone, but, no, then it's specifically related to you. Curious, are you guys the ones that tie themselves to the trees? Bad question I know, but, I remember hearing something about it sometime back on TV Anyways, sounds like you had a fun experience, just sit back and remember that there is nothing wrong with you. You are only remembering your dreams and that's it.

Yes, society has a lot of addiction problems ranging from money to drugs to killings, etc.... Basically, most people nowadays lie, steal if they can't get caught, don't care for others, are greedy and the list goes on. The best you can do is move away from these problems and remember that your main purpose is to help others. My main point is to not repeat their actions. Anyways, it sounds like you won't be doing any of that if it did indeed bring you to a new sensational state of thinking

I haven't heard about the Rainbow Gathering before now, it sounds like a nice concept Would be good to do something different than your ordinary routine day.

I haven't really tried something similar, but I am sure that with time things change..

I wish you good luck !

Man! just reading this has given me huge goosebumps all over, for I believe I've been there ( once ) and it was so scary at the time that I never wanted to experience it ever again, and to this day I never have but it'll be with me forever as it was so extremely vivid and all while still wide awake.

I'll give you some description of what my experience was and how I came to notice it in the first place.
I think it was an average day, I'm in my bedroom just perhaps thinking about what I'll be doing later in the day when I seem to have an exact dream image just pop into my head. This is no normal memory of a dream in the way that you'd recall a dream from the past either by trying to think about it or read about it from your dream journal, but a fully fledged dream object or image exactly as it was created when I first dreamed it. I'm not sure where the image was being projected to though and whether it was in my minds eye or somehow projected forwards beyond my eyes, almost like a holographic image might be, but I was totally aware that I had my full natural sight and the dream image at the same time.

I too, had the euphoria feeling when this happened, it was like, "Fantastic! I've got access to my dreams whilst still consciously aware", but that's when things got really strange. At first I'd be shown random images or object from dreams of my past, mostly recent if I remember correctly at the time, but I noticed that if I looked at a particula object in my room, say a coke can for example, then I'd imediately be whooshed off to a particular dream that had that specific object in it. Not only that, but if I proceeded to try that on other objects in the room then again, it would then instantly switch the dreamscene in my mind to correspond to that particular object that was being looked at. Totally mental experience!

I've got more to say on it of course, but want to see what your reply to this would be istayonfire just to verify that it is indeed close enough to what you experienced yourself.

One more note though. After this experience I am in no doubt, in my own mind at least, that none of my dreams have been erased from my mind, as it was showing me far more detail in past dreams ( sometimes a couple of decades back ) than some sort of simple recollection of dreams.

wow, I would love to experience that just once to see what it feels like One question, do you know why this happened? As in, did you do something to trigger this?

That is exactly what i was trying to explain but i'm just not the best person with words. everything you described is very close to the way i've been feeling. Today, I've been getting them more than ever but its different now. Its almost like i do it subconstiously and I'm viewing to realities at once. I see the dreams in complete detail but its almost like they are fast forwarded. I'll be having a conversation and be able to stay tuned in but still see new dreams that I had not yet remembered. I'm just starting to calm down about it and just letting it hit me now.

      Hi Bigfan,

I've no real idea how it happened, as I was just aware of it right out of the blue. One minute I'm just thinking of general things and then full dream images as if they were happening right there and then whilst awake.

This might be something Istayonfire might be able to answer though, as he seems to be able to have some sort of induction technique possibly!

I'd like to know what causes it too, as I would be prepared to visit that area again now that i know I'm not alone with this experience and that people won't just think I'm just making this up or that I'm a complete nutcase, lol.

I must admit I'm not sure if what you've got is a curse or a blessing, but I'd want to see someone about that if it continues on a daily basis. Again though, I'm not sure if you've said if you can actually control it ie: you can vaguely start the process but can you bring it to a complete stop whenever you want to?

This is what I had trouble with when I had my only experience. I kind of felt that once it was in motion with the fast flowing images and scenes that I couldn't find a way to stop it at first. It was like an information overload on my senses. The only way I brought it to a halt was when I kept saying aloud and internally "Stop it now, go away, stop showing me these things!"

I'll just write down a couple of more things that I've remembered and then I'll probably be done with the details as I've only had it the once, it was interesting ( but scary) to have experienced such a strange phenomenon.

Two things that seem the same between your report and mine seem to be the fast almost rapid fire dream scenes that appear as if they are on fast-forward. This was true with me too, but I believe they started out fairly slowly and then increased in speed until eventually it became like an image a second..it was extremely disturbing at that speed.

The other thing is the similarity to dreams in the past that we've had. Even though I had completely forgotten some dreams of my early life here there were again clear as day in full detail.

After the event it's a little easier for me to analyse what was happening at the time, I had some idea, but only afterwards was i able to reflect on this.

The thing with the objects I looked at in my room taking me into dream scenes, this not only happened with objects in my room, but if I were to focus on similar objects or dream characters within the actual dream then that also would whisk me off to another long forgotten dream..amazing really!
Also, in one particular dream, lets say with a small solid object such as my Coke Can example, I looked at this and it transported me to whatever dream was related to it, but then something weird happened, in the related dream the Coke Can actually morphed fully into a horse! I saw that in real time too which was incredible how my brain power was morphing something as small as the Coke Can into a Horse virtually flawlessly, think of Terminator 2 T1000 head morphing scene and times that by 10 for quality of animation and you'll get the idea.

So in closing, I think I've worked out that we can both somehow access our subconcious memories of dreams within the waking world, but there's something else there for me at least. I would say that in my case I feel that all my dreams are still very much in my head no matter whether i remember them right now or not and also that because I was show a clear link between an object and dream that i can go one step further and say that all my dreams are linked in some way to the objects or characters that dwell within them. Thinks of it as a dream family-tree where every one follows on from another one and is not just stored in the brain in a haphazard way.

Really sorry for the long post too though, but had to get all the details out.

      Hi
I should have probably rephrased it better, did you do anything that you could attribute this to? In istayonfire's case, he was fine until he went Rainbow Gathering and that's when the experiences started. It makes me wonder if everyone's dream are still in their heads even years later or if it's only a select few

There are dreams I've had when I was a child that I'll never forget, I also think about them every once and a while...I guess they really made an impact, maybe you are supposed to sift through them for psychic information! haha, that would be pretty cool if those dreams included symbols that have manifested themselves in your current waking life. Write everything down! (if you havn't already...)

Well, you should not be scared, on the contrary you are lucky. People are doing Dream Cartography for years to get the insight which is the point when one recalls all forgotten dreams (the Holy Graal of Dream Cartography, something like WILDing at will for Lucid Dream), and it seems like you is lucky to remember them on your own. What you may to do so to get most of it?

First, you may want to analyze where your dreams took place and chances are that a big share of them was in relatively small set of places.

Second, you may want to look into patterns which are repeting in dreams. Some plots could be pretty regular.

Has any one had anything similar happen to them? please give input cuz im honestly a bit freaked out.
As I do Dream Cartography, sometimes I have "flashbacks" - I write down the dream, then describe the place, and sometimes I remember several dreams which took place in the same place.

You should not fear this - after all our brain does not forget anything, it is just we often can not recall it.
