Thread: Lucid dreams and the matrix similarities?

i have always thought, and known, that there are loads of similaraities between the popular movie title 'The Matrix' and Lucid dreams.

think about it, when you get 'Jacked in' (the needle thing in the neck) thats the equivelent of entering a lucid dream.
And the fact you can control things, once you have a clear understanding, and experience, of being lucid.

Also, i'm not too sure of this theory, but i think that residual self image (the clothes you wear based on your personal perception of yourself) is present in dreams.

does anyone else share my thoughts?
