In my experience, visualization is far more powerful than words for dream incubation. Try to concentrate on whatever sensations (all five senses) that are associated with what you want as you fall asleep. Hope that helps. |

how do you meet a particular charater in a dream?
well, i don't know how to do it. i willed a bird into my basement on my may 5th lucid. in the dream, i asked particualrly for a secretary bird. but what i got instead didn't look at all like one.
now, i want to meet kevin the snipe. i know my brain can recreate her perfectly (i saw her in the flesh in a dream once, but i did not meet her. and last night, my brain recreated her perfectly in a image which i saw in my vision).
last night, as i was falling asleep, i repeated "I will meet kevin the snipe tonight" in my head. did i meet her? I say nay-nay.
i am posting this in the normal dream topic, because i learned that i could meet her in a normal dream, after the dream i had before. the bonus, is that i don't know i am dreaming, and i don't know that kevin will just be an object created by my mind (even though she will be). therefore, it has the biggest impact on me because i think that i'm meeting her in waking life.
the downside, is that since i don't know i am dreaming, i might not do something, instead insisting to do it later, eventhough i might be awake "later". like, i might really want to ride kevin, but instead i would do it later. when i wake up, i will be kicking myself for it. also, the recall is much worse, and the dream may not be as vivid as if i was lucid.
but, is it even possible to see something in particular? if you want to will something, you shoud try not to describe it. you should let your brain make that desision for you. but if i want to meet kevin, i have to atleast say that kevin will be the one that's there, instead of just any bird.
this might be the biggest pickle i've ever been in (dream related atleast).
can someone help me?

I'm a bit confused about your question. If you want to meet her in a lucid dream, there are lots of different techniques you can use to summon her. For instance, you could just yell out her name. (That usually works for me.) You could also tell yourself, "Kevin will be behind this door." When you open the door, she will most likely be there.
If you mean you want to meet her in a non-lucid, just keep using dream incubation. (Picturing her and setting your intent to meet her as you are drifting off. It helps if those are the last thoughts you have before losing consciousness.

Well, all dryspells end in their own time. I'm just coming out of a recall dryspell, myself. I believe there is a tutorial about ending them, somewhere around here...

well, i went and saw the movie (in 3d) today.
if i don't become lucid tonight, i will be very very pissed.
well, first i want to meet, and be with Kevin for an hour (an entire REM cycle). while i'm at it, i want to kick the ass of the person who tried to take her.
