      Science is...

Science (from the Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") refers to any systematic knowledge-base or prescriptive practice that is capable of resulting in a prediction or predictable type of outcome. In this sense, science may refer to a highly skilled technique or practice.

In its more restricted contemporary sense, science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on scientific method, and to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research.

We've all independently determined that there are characters in our dreams that we have experienced and will experience. I'd say that's predictable enough to apply the scientific method to.

You experience, so you know that you're real. That's basically what 'real' means for us. That's what it comes down to.

But does science, or your experience, convince you that DCs do not also experience?

Can you really rule out the possibility, always, in all scenarios?

Better to be agnostic about it....

By science I suppose you mean the body of accepted knowledge about DCs, and really there are no known explanations in physics or biology about DCs. There are a few psychological theories that may explain why we see DCs, yet that is approaching mostly from a behavioral level, and it is very limited in insight or empowerment for prediction.

I suspect DCs experience, yet in a different way that we experience, much like animals on earth experience the same reality we live in, in a different way. I don't think DCs keep to a single identity, and possess the ability to manufacture identity as a mode of communication.
