      Dreams that bother you

Anyone ever have a dream that really bothered you? Ive had a few but one bothered me for weeks.

It was about 3 years ago and in a very real dream, not lucid, I was with some girl walking down a sidewalk at night. It was cold, we both had coats on. The girl was just a normal good looking girl, not a super model or anything. For some reason life was perfect there, after I woke up I felt sick because I wasnt there anymore. I felt depressed for over a week because of that. I would have given anything to go back. Even now I wish I could go back to that dream and stay.

Anyone else have anything like that?

Yeah I had a dream a couple of months ago that made me feel sadder than I have ever felt in my entire life and the feeling lasted for about four hours after I woke up.

It was a nonlucid dream and it was very strange. The details are a bit too personal for me to share, sorry, but the underlying theme of the dream was that I was old and it was the end of my life and my loved ones had already died and I was standing on the shores of a lake contemplating that my whole life's memories were about to be annihilated.

However, I've also had dreams that have left me feeling completely euphoric for hours after they end so it's swings and round-a-bouts I guess.

Don't worry, the feelings of sorrow and longing you have for this dreamplace will eventually fade I'm sure

My first Lucid Dream was about rape. It wasn't me who was doing the raping, but people in my dream. When I woke up I felt guilty, like I did something wrong.

      But thats about it.

I've had a couple...namely the one I made a topic about here recently dealing with having sex with a friend. The other was an incredibly vivid dream where I gave birth and then jammed the newborn into a bag and threw it in the river.

The kicker is I woke up feeling relieved after the birth dream.

      Hi Michael,
That's a very interesting dream. Were you sad because she isn't there, or because you aren't in a perfect world anymore, or is it something else?

I have a lot of disturbing dreams, it would take a whole seperate dream journal just to write about them.

I haven't dreamt of being in a perfect place (yet) but some of my dream adventures have been of me being on a journey to another place that should be pretty good, my impression based on unusual dream people who are as good as anyone could expect. Sure wish it was real and they were taking me with them, instead of being here. So a little disappointment.

Now that I look back on it I think it could be a masterpiece painting, like a grotesque painting or one of H.R Gigers painting haha, I like his stuff.

Well these kind of dream happen to everybody one time or another. Happened to me some time ago but managed to get over it quite easily. The thing is not to get drawn into the dreamworld. Do something IRL that can replace that perfect place or just something that'll keep you busy enough to forget about that dream girl. Best wishes

I had a dream a couple years ago... I rarely think about it now, and I've never shared it before - mainly due to how creepy I find it. To this day, thinking about it still bothers me. I figure I will throw it out there and see how you guys feel about it though.

I don't remember how I got there, or why... I just remember being in a hotel at a beach with my two closest friends from high school. We went outside of the hotel - I remember there being a bunch of Tiki huts around a large swimming pool. My friends and I were doing the normal teenage gossip - pointing out the hot guys to each other, etc. I saw a guy from behind - wearing swim trunks, no t-shirt, had dark brown hair - and for some reason was completely attracted to him, despite not seeing his face. I abandoned my friends, and went over to talk to this guy (and by talk, I'm not sure what conversation was happening between us, most of my dreams are like watching TV on mute - I can see mouths moving, but can't hear anything - though, occasionally I can lipread). Anyway, this guy invited me to his hotel room, which turned out to be right next door to the room my friends and I were staying in. The dream kept dragging on and on, I don't recall specifics of it, except that I kept seeing this guy and never seeing his face. I'm not sure if I finally realized that I was dreaming and the dream turned lucid and I was able to take control, or what happened exactly, but very dramatically - slow-motion like, the guy turned around to reveal his face...

      It was my dad.

      Hahaha. Oh wow :bravo:

Yea, I have dreams where I'm so happy in my dream I'm really angry. Mostly about chicks, man. Usually, I wake up kind of happy because I experienced that dream, but then I get kind of angry because I know that it could never happen to me.

      Lol'd.
I have been sad after dreams where I am very content or happy with a perfect girl (seems like this happens to a lot of people) but the disturbance wears off pretty quickly. The only other ones that are kind of startling are dreams where people I know VERY closely are missing clothes, I just wake up like "ewwww".

any dream of voices really bothers me. I end of waking up in a state where you are conscious but still sort of dreaming and I can hear all these voices it's very upsetting but the voices usually aren't harmful or anything and go away in a couple of seconds of being awake. I have tried to listen to them but they are just babble. Dominantly female. But sometimes just recently I randomly here very scary different voices from women for like 3 seconds. 3 seconds a day at night. The nightime thing is what makes me scared. I just hear outbursts of anger or sorrow. It could be my mom crying because im going off to college soon but that doesn't explain the anger ones. oooffff (shivers).

I hate having dreams where anything bad happens to my pet goldfish. I'm very fond of the little guy, and I always end up really upset in the dreams and panicky when I wake up.
