My mom had a sleep paralysis dream...

A few months ago my mom told me about a dream she had (which I think she believed was semi-happening). After I learned about sleep-paralysis, I guessed that's what she had. She was 'awake in her bed in the middle of the night, looking up at the ceiling. All of a sudden she saw a chair fly over her head. She looked in the direction that it came from and she saw a hideous face floating in the air that she 'knew' was the devil. She tried to move but she couldn't. She started praying and it all went away and she could move again. She's pretty religious.

I would be scared if something like that happened to me.

My Grandma complained of thinking she was dreaming of being wide awake but unable to move in her bed. I told her about sleep paralysis which scared her. It is a very awkward situation. There is no actual danger but the hallucinations can be very fearsome.

Did you tell your mom about sleep paralysis? Maybe you could print up an article for her. I would hate for her to think the devil is really after her, especially if she believes in that sort of thing.
