      100% Convinced you're NOT dreaming?

I started this thread because I want to share something new that has been going on in my dreams and getting stronger every time.
I have been a lucid dreamer for 8 years and progressively this is happening to me. Ok, within the past week, I had a dream and in this dream I came to a place that I knew that I had seen in my dreams (bear with me here). I was so shocked and amazed and thought that I had seen proof that my dreams were more powerful than I thought. I was so amazed I wanted to make sure that I wasn't dreaming... I started to cry because It was so awesome and I asked my boyfriend, who was with me at the time, If I was dreaming. He told me "No, of course you're not dreaming!!" I knew it too, I was 100% convinced that I was in true, waking, everyday reality. I mean, there wasn't a shadow of doubt in my mind, I was not dreaming.
I woke up that morning and thought to myself "Wow, I guess I wasn't dreaming after all.." it's really strange how in the dream.. I knew it with all my heart that I wasn't.... Has anyone else experienced this?

In my previous dreams, I was never so sure.. but this last one.. i was dead serious. It's so crazy.

Your DCs are only as honest as you want them to be. In truth, they're unbelievably stupid/gullible.

Your boyfriend DC told you what you WANTED to hear, that it was not a dream. You wanted it to be reality so badly, that he told you what you wanted to appease you.

If you want him to be honest, you have to change your outlook. If you tell him you want the truth, regardless of what you want for yourself, he just may tell you. at any rate, you have to accept the possibility that you are probably dreaming in order to become lucid.

So from now on, instead of wanting it to be reality, want the truth.

Of course, you could just be paranoid and believe you're dreaming all the time! whatever works for you! XD

It has happened to me as well. I was completely sure I was awake, yet I did a reality check just out of habit, and was startled to find that it passed.

This just goes to show that dreams can be as real and vivid as real life, which is why reality checks are powerful allies.
