Dreaming About A Past Love

Is dreaming every now and then about a long past love, the woman who left me over 20 years ago, considered abnormal and possibly some kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder ? There was a time, several months ago, when this happened as often as once every one or two weeks. Most times I dream that she had come back to me. Initially I thought this might be a premonition, but I've long given up on that.

But Just try to make your life better and see if she ends up running into you at the mall or at a store or something. NEVER give up sweety.

I think of dreams as more of random constructions of your subconscious. I mean, yeah, if you spent a lot of time with this person, she's going to be stuck in your long-term memory banks, and if you obsess over the dreams about her, you'll only think of her more, leading to more dreams... Bottom line: don't sweat it.

I agree with the previous two posters. It sounds entirely normal to me. (Heck, I dream three times a week about a house I haven't lived in for 30 years.) I'm sorry about your lost love and will hope for a miracle for you.
