Does any use music to help them along in their dreams?

A year or more ago, when I wasn't so stressed, I used to have an abundance of weird &wonderful dreams.

Some of the clearest ones involved post-apocalyptic worlds/dimensions. Sometimes I could start to recognize the same kind of landscape, like they were pieces if a larger jigsaw puzzle.

In one I was walking along a hot dry city - I felt it wasn't on this earth. Everything had been abandoned -there were buildings that had been abandoned and telephone cables had been brought down. Everything was quiet and dead. Then all of a sudden I saw giant half-human half-reptile women walking through the city. They were at tall as telephone poles. I remember hiding behind a car and staring up in amazement/horror. I realized that as everyone had died in some sort of incident, these were the only creatures left in this place.

I listened to the Host of the Seraphim a few weeks later, by Dead Can Dance, and the atmosphere in that song is EXACTLY what I felt in the dream - it REALLY hit the nail on the spot. I was so amazed how this one track could capture what I felt like in these dreams. As I listened more and more to that song, I started having more frequent dreams....

One involved me in some kind of war in another planet/dimension. A battle had broken out in a city located in a giant underground cavern - the last strong hold of my race in the dream. The civilisation was at once technically advanced but many of the buildings of the city were made with mud, and everything was bathed in a blue light. Everything had been ravaged by war with some alien creatures. I was one of the last fighters. I remember loading my gun and my adrenaline being really high as I stalked some of the streets trying to hide myself from these creatures. They didn't have physical form in the same way as we did - more like vague shapes. I could hear some of the other fighters having trouble, some shooting, some dying. We were trying to figure out each other's locations.

As I looked at what was left of the streets, I got flashback of the the city used to look like before the war broke out, like a film. It was my home & I felt sad that the streets that were once so familiar to me were now so different. I walked down one street and got flashbacks of a lively colourful market - the light wasn't blue, it was warm and light even though the city was in a massive cave. The buildings were a warm yellow colour, & full of people.

In the end I think we won the battle & I don't remember much after.

I'm going to experiment more with music more with music that has one droning note, and see what effect it has.

Had anyone got dreams affected by music they want to share?
