Being Still Upon Waking For Better Dream Recall?

I have a problem - When I wake up I'm already in the action of moving around, or sitting up before I am fully conscious. I feel this is hindering my ability to recall dreams. I kind of startle myself, because I realize my eyes are open and I'm moving around.

      Anyone have advice???

Yes, moving after waking up from a dream will make you forget it. If you don't move, you have a better chance of recalling the dream.
If you learn to DEILD, you'll learn to wake up and stay still. Do a search on it.
