Thread: Reoccurring dreams, please give me an insight!.

Hey everyone!.

I am posting because I want to know how people deal with recurring dreams, one's which actually leave an emotional toll on you, something that upsets you and can be on your mind hours later or randomly through your days. I've had a recurring dream with the same person for the past week and this has happened to me a few months ago, I believe these dreams happen when I've lost some one close to me and I haven't wanted to. They seem to haunt my dreams and I hate it. I say 'haunt' because it takes an emotional toll on me.

I broke my friendship up with my friend about a month ago now and we were very close friends for 10 years and we knew almost all of each ether's secrets and for some odd reason, I've been dreaming about her for the past week. The first dream was how we were friends and the rest after that was were we knew we weren't friends but we still got together. I even dream about her when napping.

Before this reoccurring dream I had some a few months back, maybe 5?. I re-homed my dog almost a year ago now and after 3 months and lost contact with the owners, they never picked up there phones. I started dreaming about him once or twice a month and they were always horrible dreams and they felt so real but when I woke up, I realized he wasn't here. After awhile it took a toll on me so I spoke to an animal communicator and found out how he was, the bad dreams stopped but I still dreamt about him for about 3 months but they were actually good dreams.

Has this happened to anyone, reoccurring dreams after losing some one you care about or a reoccurring dream of some sort?. Why does this happen, repeatedly?. Especially when you can't do anything about the situation. I've only ever had one reoccurring dream in my life other then these two and this was years years ago, 7 years ago but I'd only have the dream once a year.
