Only locations as dreamsigns.

Hi everyone, I've been in to lucid dreaming for a while now but seem to have come to a sticking point in my progress. I've had a few lucid/semi lucid dreams but nothing to shout about, I have good dream recall and can remember at least 1 dream most nights, normally 2 or 3 but the problem Im having is that the only dreamsigns I seem to have are being in a location that I could'nt be in in waking life, its normally im back at school or a place I used to work at years ago. My actual dreams on the whole are quite normal and im normally doing normal things just in an unusual location. I keep trying to remember to question when Im in these places but as yet I haven't been able to 'realise' im dreaming while in the dream. Are these locations enough as dreamsigns or do I need to try something else?. Thanks.

Well dream signs are handy, but very situational. You should also work on your awareness of things. Take everything in and be very observant of your surroundings. If you spot something thats off, or changes even in the slightest (location, color, legibility, ect), throw out a RC. Awareness helps make up for those times when your dream signs aren't popping up.

one thing you can try is to use a theme from those dreams. if you can identify a common element then use it as a dreamsign. so if you dream of being in a school or workplace, reinforce an intention to go to such a place in future dreams and associate it with being lucid.
